Habitat for Humanity House (June 4-5)

Ridgeview will be participating again this year in a Habitat House in Travelers Rest. A number of people have already signed up to be part of this great bridge project. Thank You! The house is in Travelers Rest, 313 Gray Street. We will begin on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 am and end at 4:30 pm. Lunch will be provided both days. Habitat House Project ahead of schedule!

The Habitat for Humanity House Project has been moved to May 7-8th, because the work is getting done so fast! We need to know if you are willing to be a bridge volunteer for the NEW dates for the project.

Ridgeview will be painting a Habitat Home on Edwards St in Taylors. Friday May 7, and Saturday May 8. Hours are from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm and you must be at least 16 years old to volunteer. If you are willing to be part of this fantastic bridge project, please contact john@ridgeviewchurch.net

Habitat for Humanity House Building Project May 29-30

A quick word on Habitat…in order to even be on the list to have a house built for you, you have to go through a thorough application and interview process. If accepted, you then have to complete 500 hours of “sweat equity” on other people’s houses…not your own. Once you’ve completed 500 hours of work on other people’s houses, then you join the crew to help build the house that will be yours. Once your house is complete, you move in for just a few hundred dollars per month in a no interest, 30-year loan. They have a 98% success rate.
