Ridgeview Church is seeking to be a bridge of God's love to all people, so they may experience His purpose for their lives. (Matthew 28:18-20 & Matthew 22:36-40)
You can join us on Sundays at Blue Ridge High School at 10:30am as God moves us forward to spread His Kingdom. This is a worship gathering designed to help the people of this generation encounter God, consider the gospel claims of Jesus, and be formed as His disciples. Ridgeview worship includes musical worship led by Milo Wilson & the Praise Band, interactive involvement of worshippers, using both ancient and contemporary worship practices and thought-provoking, heart-engaging Bible teaching from Pastor Tommy Hargrove. It lasts from 10:30-11:45am, child care is provided, and blue jeans are typical.
This section will help you find out more about Ridgeview Church’s vision, values, Pastor Tommy Hargrove, and the rest of our Staff Team.
Experience Classes will help you discover how to move forward in your relationship with God at Ridgeview. RidgeKidz and RidgeStudents ministries give you the lowdown on the next generation’s impact here.
So browse around, check us out. Then join us this weekend to meet some caring people, meaningful worship, and quality children's programs.
Welcome to Ridgeview Church

Relationships/Community (Acts 2:42-47)

Faithfulness (Matthew 25:21)
Prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
Our Vision
Ridgeview Church will be a place where people are actively involved in a life-style of personal and corporate worship. It will be a place where Christians actively share the good news of Jesus throughout our community, our state, our nation, and our world. We will "...preach the gospel always, and sometimes use words." Our sharing will be done through acts of kindness, the development of authentic relationships, and seeking to meet needs in our community.
Ridgeview Church will help people develop and cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We will also connect people to their Christian family where they will be valued and accepted and grow closer to one another and Christ through small group Bible studies.
Ridgeview Church will be a place of faithfulness. We will be faithful in serving God by serving others. We will be faithful in finding how God has gifted us to serve and put our gifts into action.
Our logo illustrates how we intend to fulfill this vision.
First you will notice that there are two mountain peaks.
Two things we focus on church-wide in: 1) Weekend Worship and 2) Groups.
This may seem simplistic... ...but don't be fooled, the task is large. How will we accomplish this? That question is answered by what the 5 rays of sun in our logo represent: The five purposes of Ridgeview Church.
1) To Connect -doing life together with your church family
2) To Grow - helping believers grow spiritually
3) To Serve - meeting needs with love (internal - greeters, setup teams, nursery workers)
4) To Bridge - sharing the good news (external - outreach, missions)
5) To Worship - Expressing my love to God
I look forward to what God is going to do in our church! Hope to see you Sunday!
Tommy Hargrove, Pastor
Worship
BRINGING PLEASURE TO GOD THROUGH WORSHIP
You are alive today because God chose you to be here. You exist for his benefit, his glory, his purpose, and his delight. Bring enjoyment to God, living for his pleasure, is the first purpose of your life.
We are able to bring pleasure to God through worship. Worship is far more than music – anything you do that brings glory to God is an act of worship. Every activity can be transformed into an act of worship when you do it for the praise, glory, and pleasure of God.
“You created everything, and it is for your pleasure that they exist and were created” (Revelation 4:11 NLT).

Grow
SPIRITUAL GROWTH
Spiritual growth is not so much about "doing" as it is about "becoming" – becoming more like Christ. It's a life-long adventure that takes patience, commitment, and intentional focus. It's not what we do along the way that is most important. What really matters is who we are becoming in the process.
Ultimately, the Christian life is about building an intimate relationship with Jesus as the Holy Spirit changes us from the inside out, and loving others the way Jesus loves us.
Our Grow ministry is excited to partner with you by providing a "navigation system" for your journey with Christ. We invite you to explore the various opportunities we offer to help you take your next steps of spiritual growth.
“As the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more” (2 Corinthians 3:18b NLT).

Connect
A PLACE FOR YOU TO CONNECT
Because God is love, he treasures relationships. At Ridgeview, we want to welcome you into our church family and get to know you better.
Experience Class 101 is our basic introduction to Ridgeview and is designed to explain what we believe and what we’re all about. Whether you’re looking to take your first step in a relationship with Jesus Christ, get baptized, or get plugged into a small group, our team is here to offer you guidance and support.
“God’s unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure” (Ephesians 1:5 NLT).

Bridge
BRIDGING THE LOVE OF GOD
Good works can build a bridge by which the Good News can travel. You were made for a mission. God is at work in the world, and he wants you to join him. God wants you to share His love where you are. As a student, mother, teacher, salesman, manager, or whatever you do, God wants you to reach out to the people in your life. That might mean inviting a friend to church or showing love to those in need around you.
God invites you to participate in the greatest, largest, most diverse, and most significant cause in history – his kingdom. The opportunities for normal, everyday Christians to become involved in short-term international missions are now limitless. Every corner of the world is available to you. You were saved to serve and made to go out and spread the Good News.
Our ministry team is here to help you discover great ways that you can share your faith both locally and globally.
“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have” (1 Peter 3:15)

Serve
SERVING OTHERS IN JESUS' NAME
When we become a Christian, God gives us salvation and the hope of eternity in heaven. He also gives us purpose and significance in our lives. He has given each of us the opportunity to serve others and make a real difference in our community. When you serve others in Jesus' name, you’re ministering. God didn't design ministry for just a few people. At Ridgeview, we believe that every member of our church is a minister.
Pastor Tommy teaches that we all are shaped by God with individual gifts and talents that are to be used to support the Body of Christ. The Ministry Team has designed several tools to help guide you in discovering how your spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality, and experiences (SHAPE) in life can be used by God to mold you for service.
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10).
Here is what is happening in our SERVE area...
Who are the volunteers?
Ridgeview volunteers are members of the church who work together to serve others in the community and advance the kingdom for Jesus.
How do I get Plugged in?
If you are a regular part of Ridgeview and are interested in getting plugged in, simply email serve@ridgeviewchurch.net and someone will contact you about your next step.
If you are interested in joining Ridgeview or just want to learn more about the church, we would love for you to join us at our next "Experience" class.
What opportunities are available?
Every Christian is called and gifted to serve God’s purposes in the world. We are committed to help you discover, develop and deploy that gift as you partner with others in our church to make a difference in the world. We invite you to explore our ministries and find the place where you will be both fruitful and fulfilled in serving Jesus.
There are six areas of ministry that are made up of multiple volunteer teams. These teams serve others on Sundays and during the week.
GUEST SERVICES
First impressions make a huge impact. Therefore these teams are made up of individuals who love creating welcoming environments for every guest at Ridgeview.
SET UP/ TEAR DOWN
Everything we own at Ridgeview has wheels on it. We are only able to worship together each week because there are people willing to work behind the scenes to get things prepared before the guests arrive. Perhaps you would enjoy some interaction (on your own team), but prefer to not interact with guests. This area would suit you very well.
AUDIO/VISUAL
From operating cameras and sound to trouble-shooting computer issues, the Audio/Visual teams use their skills in media production and technology to keep Ridgeview on the cutting edge.
CREATIVE TEAM PLANNING
Twice a month Pastor Tommy meets with this team to come up with creative new ideas to help in relating to modern culture what is the timeless message of the Bible.
RIDGEKIDZ CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
The Ridgekidz Children's Ministry exists to unveil God's love to the children and families of Ridgeview.
RidgeStudents MINISTRY
The Ridgeview Student Ministries leaders serve the middle and high school students of Ridgeview and the North Greenville community.
